Smart Bicycle Technology from Apple
A good news for all bicyclist in the world, due to Apple has obtained a patent for their future bicycle concept. The patent application, on 5 August has issued by US Patent & Trademark Office, show the “Smart Bicycle” which is a high-tech bicycle concept created by Apple. Actually, Apple filed for this patent in 2009 early.
The features of this high-tech are allowing the bicyclist to login and sharing their activity information wirelessly. Cycling speed, trip distance, time, ascent, descent, and other are the information that can be shared, and greatly of this bicycle is it an ability to collect an information about our heartbeat.
According to the patent issued, this information is collected via an Ipod or Iphone which connected and using sensors. About the method that used to measure the activity of bicyclist has not been disclosed, but likely the heartbeat sensor is placed on the handlebars, while the accelerator and GPS are provided in the Iphone.
